Ben is a Denver, Colorado native and received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. While at URI, Ben double majored in Business Management and Finance and graduated near the top of his class. After graduating, he decided to move back to Denver and start his career as a Financial Advisor. Ben was hired by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and developed a successful practice in the four and half years he was there, working with both individual and institutional clients.
For individual investors, Ben specializes in Wealth Management, Retirement Planning and Asset Allocation with a focus in Fixed Income. He focuses on education and communication when working with clients. In addition, Ben developed a practice working with government entities. Before moving to First Financial Equity, Ben was managing over 200 million in retail and institutional assets and while at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Ben was in the top 1% of his class for his length of service.
Ben joined First Financial Equity Corp. in May of 2010, as Vice President of Investments, and is a full partner of Peaks Public Investment Advisors with Troy Hunsucker and David Carter. They work specifically with public entities to assist in strategy, portfolio management and investing in fixed income assets for their clients. Ben’s role in Peaks Public Investment Advisors is Client Acquisition and Portfolio Strategy.
On a personal note, Ben is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and skiing. He enjoys traveling and has been to 10 countries and multiple international cities in North America and Europe.
