Lori Bensing is the founder of Oakleigh Wealth Management, a financial planning firm focused on the needs of women. She founded the company in April 2009 after many years working as a manager in the brokerage industry. It was a return to her roots and to working with women. She is a graduate of Kansas State University and holds a BA in Language – Spanish. Oakleigh Wealth Management operates under First Financial Equity Corporation.
Lori began her career in banking in Wichita, Kansas, in the foreign exchange division. She relocated to Dallas and remained in foreign exchange for several years. After a move to Ohio and a stint as a stay-at-home mom, she returned to the financial industry as a financial advisor, then sales manager and finally branch manager at a major wirehouse, a bank, and a privately held firm, respectively. Lori believes that the goal of asset management and financial planning should be education and organization.
Lori resides in Dallas with her two teenage children. She has served on the board of directors of Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas for 9 years and is currently the board chair. Lori believes in supporting the communities where we live and strives to make sure that charitable goals are given their proper due in financial planning.
