Charles Willoughby has served as a financial advisor with First Financial Equity Corporation since July, 2009. Charlie offers a high level of personal attention and service to his clients. His expertise is in designing and maintaining investment portfolios, measured for risk in the capital markets.
Charlie graduated from George Mason University, and completed a tour as a Marine Officer, serving on active duty in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. He left the Marine Corps as a Captain, served 21 years of reserve duty in the United States Air Force, and retired from military duty in 2011.
In addition to military duty, Charlie’s career in finance includes experience in banking, mortgage lending, and life insurance, including a 9 year career with New York Life. He received an excellent brokerage education at Merrill Lynch, with designations as a Certified Financial Manager and Senior Financial Advisor. He is approaching a 35 year mark as a financial service professional and advisor to professionals, retired persons, and corporations. Charlie lives in Chandler, Arizona with his wife Sandy, and enjoys his 3 step children, Tallan, Kelly and Jack, and 5 step grand-children. They enjoy family travel, the outdoors, college and professional sports, fine dining, and resort lifestyle. His interests also include financial study of the capital markets, with emphasis on risk and risk management.
He gives back to the community as a Blue and Gold officer for the United States Naval Academy. This volunteer activity allows Charlie to mentor young men and women who are seeking selection to a service academy. He works with school officials, parents and students, and helps them in the selection process for success at the Naval Academy.
Charlie has training and experience in all areas of the personal financial plan, to include asset management, risk assessment, retirement and college funding and income, cash flow, life insurance and estate and elder planning.
